Peasants’ War Tour 2025

This summer I will visit several sites in Germany connected with the German Peasants’ War of 1524-26.

The latest update is from the middle of July, looking back on my June tour.

June 23-24, 2025: Stolberg in the southern Harz Mountains, where I visited the Museum “Alte Münze”.

The Museum includes an exhibit about half-timber houses, and a special exhibit on the Peasants’ War. I would like to say a special thanks to one of the Museum’s staff members who gave me a tour of the early modern mint exhibit.

June 24-25, 2025: Bad Frankenhausen, where I visited the Panorama Museum and the Regional Museum.

I would like to say a special and big thanks to Fred Böhme of the Panorama Museum for his generous private and public tour of the Museum’s artistic treasures!

June 25-29, 2025: Mühlhausen, the site of multiple Peasants’ War exhibits (see this link, plus this one).

For comments and new perspectives on the exhibits in Mühlhausen, I would like to thank Wolfgang Beyerle.
